Your Website Could Be Amazing, So Why Is It Mediocre?
Don’t you want your website to be excellent? Your website is your online sales rep who is tasked with bringing you new business twenty four hours a day. Would you tolerate a mediocre looking sales rep – or do your want your sales rep to inspire confidence?
When I was younger, my Dad told me that people tend to get what they settle for or allow. I have found this to be true. We design amazing websites in Tampa, Salt Lake City, and all over the United States, and one thing we see a lot of is mediocre websites.
Not only that, but a lot of those websites were extremely expensive. We have seen brand new websites that were average at best that cost over $200,000. It is not as uncommon as you think.
When we started Stay Wild Digital Marketing, one thing we committed to was making sure that every website we build is excellent.
It's Not That Hard to Build a Website in 2024
It isn’t that hard to build a website in 2024. And in particular, it isn’t hard at all to build an “average” website.
There is great new A.I. technology out there today that will build you a “pretty darned good” website for less than $100. And the truth is, unless you are going to have an awesome website designed, then why spend thousands of dollars on it when you can get a decent website for under $100.
Wix has A.I. that builds pretty decent websites (mediocre). Are they perfect? No. Far from it. But again, my point is, if you are not going to get an amazing website designed, then why over-pay for mediocre.
Don't Settle For a Mediocre Website
As I mentioned before, people tend to get what they allow and accept. I highly recommend you simply do not accept mediocrity when it comes to your business website.

It takes less than 50 Milliseconds for people to judge you based on your website.
Almost 60% of people say they won’t refer their contacts to a business with a poorly designed website.
88% of people who have a negative experience on a website never return.
How to Make Sure You Get an Amazing Website
Simple, look around at amazing websites before you engage a website designer. Find websites that look amazing and then hire someone who can make your website look just as good.
If they can’t do that, then keep looking.
Remember, website designers are people too and everyone has their own level of talent and drive when it comes to their work. Every week web designers send us their applications and their portfolios by email – very few of them are even close to being good enough to work with us.
Their skill level simply does not meet our standards of excellence in web design.

In 2024 it is no longer sufficient to “have a website.” New studies show that people do not refer their contacts to businesses with mediocre websites, don’t come back, and don’t trust your company.
